The English Club

On January 18th, 2025 we will pay tribute to Scotland’s own National Bard, Robert Burns, by reciting his poems, drinking Whisky and enjoying haggis, tatties and neeps.
 
The price is 25€ (30€ for non-members), it includes food but no drinks (one whisky is provided for toasting puposes). A donation for the piper is expected (collection on the evening).
 
The deadline for registration has passed. 

If you would like to support the organisers, either in preparing for the event or on the night, please let us know. 

To allow far flung members to continue to meet, we have Online Club nights.   

The next meeting will be Sunday 19 January, at 19:00. 

We usually meet every second Sunday, but the schedule might change, so check back here, or send an email, to find out when the future meetings will be.

The English Book Club gathers together to discuss a book, or poems, or something else literary. Old and new participants are welcome to join us.

The English Club welcomes vistors! The Open Day will start at 11 am and no registration is required for new guests who would like to have a look at the place for the first time.

We had planned to have a 20s party at the Club to mark the start of the 2020s. Unfortunately 2020 wasn't a good year for parties. But it is still on the agenda, as soon as we can. Watch this space for updates.

Marianne continues to walk and talk you through the picturesque Battlement Park. We will explore many natural and cultural features and monuments of Bremen’s oldest park, the stunning inner-city oasis called Wallanlagen.

The whole leisurely stroll will take approx. 1 - 2 hours and is for free. Donations for the English Club appreciated.
